Five Years of Sprout & Blossom: Growing Something Beautiful Together

Five years ago, Sprout & Blossom was just a small seed planted with a big dream.
It started at one special place—Christ the King Preschool—where I began offering enrichment classes centered around nature, curiosity, and hands-on learning. Back then, it was simple. A few children, a love for the outdoors, and a hope that maybe… just maybe… this little idea could grow into something more.
And now, here we are—five years later—and I can honestly say, it has grown into something more beautiful than I ever imagined.
Today, Sprout & Blossom has expanded to eight campuses, including Inland Leaders (two campuses), HEC (two campuses), Valley Prep Academy, Packinghouse Christian Academy, Barton House Playschool, and of course, Christ the King, where it all began. Each campus, each class, and each child has been part of shaping what Sprout & Blossom has become.
What began as local enrichment classes has blossomed into something that now reaches families far beyond our community. Our Sprout & Blossom subscription boxes have shipped to 25 out of 50 states, bringing nature-based learning, creativity, and hands-on exploration into homes across the country.
We’ve also grown into a trusted vendor with 12 charter schools, allowing more families access to our programs and resources. Supporting homeschool families and working alongside charter schools has been such a meaningful part of our journey.
Over the years, we’ve expanded beyond weekly classes into field trips and hands-on outdoor experiences for local school districts, giving students opportunities to learn in nature—through exploration, observation, and play.
We’ve also had the honor of being invited into classrooms in a different way—Speaking at career days at local elementary schools and sharing our journey at high school entrepreneurial club meetings. Being able to talk to students about building something from the ground up, following an idea, and growing it into a business has been such a full-circle moment and an incredible privilege.
Creating opportunities for children has always been at the heart of Sprout & Blossom, which is why hosting our “Sprouting Up” Kids Markets has been so special. Watching young entrepreneurs step into their creativity, build confidence, and share their ideas has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
And of course, one of the highlights each year—our summer garden and farm day camps. These days are filled with planting, creating, exploring, baking, and playing in nature. They truly capture the heart of Sprout & Blossom and create memories that children carry with them long after camp ends.
Community has always been at the center of everything we do, and we are so grateful for the partnerships that have helped us grow. Our partnership with The Blessing Center has been especially meaningful, allowing us to utilize their garden space to create hands-on, immersive learning experiences. We’ve loved collaborating with Willowbrook Apple Farm, where children can experience seasonal farm life and connect with nature in a deeper way.
Our partnership with King Street Orchard has brought creative classes like loose parts nature art to life, encouraging imagination and open-ended exploration. At Backyard Farm School, we’ve hosted outdoor classroom days, spring experiences, and baking + nature days that blend learning and play in the most magical way.
And we’re so excited about our partnership with the San Bernardino County Museum, continuing to expand opportunities for children to learn through nature and science in new environments.
Sprout & Blossom has also become part of so many community events, where we’ve been able to meet families, share what we do, and create meaningful experiences together.
This journey has also opened doors for me personally in ways I never expected. Through this work, I’ve had the opportunity to travel to different states to attend nature-based learning conferences and children’s book author conferences—continuing to learn, grow, and be inspired. I am always seeking out new opportunities to deepen my knowledge and bring fresh ideas back to the children and families I serve. It’s something I truly love.
And behind the scenes… another dream has been quietly growing.
This year, I’ve been working on writing a children’s picture book—a story rooted in the same heart as Sprout & Blossom. A story about curiosity, connection, and the beauty of discovering nature. This process has been such a meaningful extension of everything this business represents, and I can’t wait to share more as it continues to come to life.
When I reflect on these past five years, what stands out most isn’t just the growth—it’s the people. The families who have trusted me.The schools who have welcomed this program. The community partners who have opened their doors. And the children—who remind me every single day why this work matters.
But there is a group of people I feel especially grateful for.
To my regular families who continue to come back year after year—thank you. Your support, your trust, and your commitment to this experience means more than I can put into words.
And to the very special group of families who followed me when I first stepped out and started Sprout & Blossom… I truly don’t think I will ever be able to fully express what that meant to me. You believed in me before this had even grown into what it is today. You took a chance on something new, and because of that, this dream was able to take root.
I still get emotional when I think about it… and the fact that so many of you are still here, still growing with me, still part of this journey—it means everything.
And I also want to take a moment to thank the incredible women who have stood alongside me and helped bring Sprout & Blossom to life in ways I could never have done alone.
Dianna, Kristen, Micah, Belle, and Emily—thank you.
From packing subscription boxes, to teaching classes, leading field trips, and doing all the behind-the-scenes prep work that no one sees… you have been such an essential part of this journey. There was a time when I was doing so much of this on my own—and I remember how exhausting that season was. But I also understand now that sometimes that’s what it takes to grow something from the ground up. And now, to be in a place where I have such an amazing team beside me—helping tend to this dream, nurture it, and continue to grow it—it truly feels like the biggest blessing. I could not have grown Sprout & Blossom without you.
Sprout & Blossom was never just about gardening or crafts or lessons.
It has always been about something deeper—Helping children slow down, explore, create, and connect.Helping families grow together. And planting seeds that will last far beyond childhood.
As we celebrate five years, I feel incredibly grateful—for every class, every box, every partnership, and every moment that has brought us here.
And the most exciting part? It still feels like we’re just getting started 🌱🌸
