A Little Peek Behind the Pages

With only three days left in my Kickstarter campaign for On the Way Back: A Discovery of Nature, I wanted to share a little update on where things currently stand behind the scenes — because while you’ve been seeing snippets online, there has been so much happening in the background.

This entire process has been such a learning experience. Since launching the Kickstarter, my book files have officially been sent to the printer, and there has been a constant stream of emails going back and forth between me, the printer, and my illustrator as we fine-tune every little detail to make this book exactly what I envisioned.

One of the biggest parts of this process has been making sure the fold-out pages align perfectly. Because the book includes interactive fold-out learning pages, every measurement and layout detail matters. There have been lots of adjustments, test files, revisions, and little tweaks to make sure everything opens and lines up beautifully for readers.

Thankfully, I truly could not have asked for a better illustrator to walk through this process with me. She has been incredibly gracious, patient, talented, and supportive through every step. I feel so lucky that our paths crossed for this project. She has poured so much care into these pages, and seeing the story slowly come to life has honestly been emotional at times.

The printer has also been amazing to work with. I went into this process nervous because printing a children’s book with fold-outs and special details can feel intimidating, but they’ve been so helpful and responsive throughout all the adjustments. Once these final little revisions are complete, the printer will be sending me my official author copy — complete with the dust jacket and fold-out pages — for final approval before the full batch is printed. That moment feels surreal to even type out.

And somehow… everything is actually staying on timeline.

If all continues according to plan, I should have books in hand by the end of June or beginning of July, which means I’ve already started excitedly planning the launch celebration!

Book Launch Party — First Invitation Goes to Blog Readers!

I’m so excited to officially share that my On the Way Back: A Discovery of Nature Book Launch Party will be:

📍 Christ The King School

1505 Ford Street, Redlands, CA

📅 July 19, 2026

⏰ 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

This is going to be more than just a “book signing.” I really want it to feel like stepping into the spirit of the book itself — a playful, nature-filled evening for families and kids.

I’ll be sharing more details soon as everything comes together, but I wanted blog readers to be the first invited.

And lastly… thank you.

Whether you’ve backed the Kickstarter, shared a post, encouraged me through messages, followed along quietly, or simply believed in this project — thank you for helping bring this story to life. Seeing something that started as an idea slowly turn into a real book has been incredibly special.

There are only three days left in the Kickstarter campaign, and every preorder and share still makes a huge difference as we head into printing.

Thank you for your continued support and for reading about this journey so far!
